The Sleeping Balconies
at Hollin Fell
A cosy winter sleep story above a snowy Lakeland lake.

London typist Lettice Ormerod arrives at Hollin Fell determined to rest efficiently and catch Thursday’s boat home. But this quiet hotel has an unusual custom: its guests sleep on sheltered balconies, wrapped in thick rugs beneath the open sky.
Mr Tyson, the old hall porter, brings a warm stone for her feet and makes his rounds by lantern light. Over five nights, the London office begins to feel a little further away.
89 minutes of gentle storytelling, illustrated scenes and quiet night-time ambience. The full film will appear here when it is released.
