Edward Bellweather
A toymaker with his father's broad hands, and a household of his own.
Look closer at the illustration ↗Edward makes toys with Bartholomew at Bellweather & Sons. Henry keeps the accounts. Edward has inherited their father's broad hands and his skill at the bench; the spring in his son Tom's clockwork mouse is Edward's own work.
He lives two streets from the shop with his wife Lucy and their small boy. Every August they spend a week at Margate. This Christmas, with Bartholomew away, Henry joined them at their table.
Edward sends the remaining Christmas cake with Henry to meet their father, with firm instructions that Bartholomew must have some first. He also thinks Henry's present of a dressing gown is too red. Their father disagrees.
